One of America’s most versatile performers, Lister placed 7th in the long jump and won the triple jump at the 2004 Olympic Trials in Sacramento, Calif. It was his first triple jump win at the Olympic Trials after winning the long jump at the trials in 2000. His winning triple jump at the 2004 Trials of 17.78m/58-4 was the longest by an American that season, and the second best mark in the world that year. He defeated America’s finest triple jumpers, such at Kenta Bell, Walter Davis and Tim Rusan. He enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2000, with three NCAA championships and an Olympic Trials title to his credit, but his even bigger breakthrough came at the 2004 Olympic Trials. He later placed 18th in triple jump qualifying at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. Lister has won national championships on the high school, junior college, collegiate and elite levels. 1999: Won NCAA outdoor long jump and 3rd in the triple jump...ranked #8 in long jump and #5 in triple jump in U.S. by T&FN...bests of 26-10 and 55-10.25.

1998: Placed 2nd in National JUCO long jump but won triple jump...ranked #10 in long jump in U.S. by T&FN...bests of 26-5 (indoors) and 53-8.5 (indoors). .

1997: Won National JUCO long jump...best of 25-9.5.
