KU volleyball falls to Nebraska

Savannah Noyes has played 115 matches now in a Kansas University volleyball uniform. Saturday night arguably was the most important match of her career. You see, Noyes, a senior from Indianola, Neb., was playing her hometown team for the final time. She used to travel 31â2 hours to Nebraska University’s campus nearly every weekend for two years to compete in club volleyball and became quite familiar with most Nebraska players.

KU volleyball loses to OU in four sets

The Kansas University volleyball team fell in four sets to Oklahoma (25-13, 25-13, 22-25, 25-20), on Wednesday. KU sophomore Jenna Kaiser and senior Natalie Uhart produced double-digit kills in the losing effort.

Jayhawks take down Tigers in 5-set thriller

This victory felt just a tad sweeter for Kansas University’s volleyball team. Forget the fact that the Jayhawks snapped a two-match losing streak. Forget that the victory propelled KU into a tie for ninth in the Big 12 Conference with its opponent Wednesday night. We’re talking about a nail-biting, teeth-grinding, come-from-behind 3-2 victory (25-12, 18-25, 15-25, 25-13, 16-14) in the Border Showdown against Missouri.

KU loses in three sets

The Kansas University volleyball team’s defense featured three players with double-digit digs, but the Jayhawks fell in three sets (25-17, 25-14, 25-23) to Texas A&M on Saturday.

KU volleyball loses to BU

The Kansas University volleyball team lost to Baylor, 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 27-25), on Wednesday night. KU sophomore Karina Garlington notched her 16th contest of double-digit kills this season with 10. The Jayhawks dropped to 9-10 overall and 3-7 in Big 12 action, while the Bears improved to 14-6 and 6-4 in the conference.

Jayhawks top Sooners

Senior Savannah Noyes recorded a season-high 17 kills, while sophomore Karina Garlington and freshman Nicole Tate chipped in double-doubles as the Kansas University volleyball team defeated Oklahoma, 3-1, Saturday during the third annual Dig for the Cure match at Horejsi Center.

MU downs KU volleyball

Missouri defeated Kansas, 3-1, in Big 12 volleyball on Wednesday. The Jayhawks won the third set, 25-21, and fell in the other three 25-20, 25-19 and 25-19. Melissa Grieb and Melissa Manda had 20 digs apiece for Kansas (8-9 overall, 2-6 Big 12). Karina Garlington had 17 kills, while Natalie Uhart and Jenna Kaiser had 12. MU is 9-9, 3-5.

KU’s volleyball comeback falls short

Kansas University’s volleyball team could save itself a whole lot of heartache by winning the first set against opponents. Winning the second set wouldn’t hurt, either.

Kansas takes Texas to 4 sets

On the bright side, the Kansas University volleyball team’s match with visiting Texas could have gone much worse. For one thing, the Longhorns entered as the country’s No. 3- ranked team. For another, they feature four all-Americans and a bench full of players that would not look out of place in the starting lineup of the New York Knicks.
