Bill Snead's exclusive look inside KU football practice

Journal-World Senior Editor Bill Snead was given exclusive access to the Jayhawk football program prior to the first game of the 2003 season, and the Journal-World and KUsports.com took you behind the scenes as the team prepares to kick off coach Mark Mangino's second year in charge.

We went into the huddle, to the training table, team meetings and strategy sessions as the Jayhawks got ready to face Northwestern University.

For seven days, we showed you what was happening on the practice field and off. Until then, they were scenes unknown to anyone outside the program.
