Career Overview/Notes
Floodman is a great athlete with a strong work ethic and a bright future for the Jayhawks. He was one of just three true freshmen to play in 2001. His mother, Sheila, earned her undergraduate and law school degrees from KU.
as a sophomore (2002)
Started the season-opener against Iowa State and recorded eight tackles, but an injury late in the first half ended his season.
as a freshman (2001)
Floodman played in all 11 games, replacing an injured Marcus Rogers in the final two games of the season. He recored 41 tackles, four tackles for losses and two sacks, and was a standout on special teams.
high school
A first-team all-state selection, Floodman was named to the Wichita Eagle's Top 11 football team after leading his team to a 13-0 record and Class 3A title. He rushed for 1,743 yards and scored 30 touchdowns his senior season, including a career-best 264 yards in the state title game. He was a three-time all-league selection, a standout linebacker and played on the state champion baseball team his junior year.
