During spring drills, sophomore Banks Floodman switched positions with senior Greg Cole. Floodman is expected to start at outside linebacker, while Cole will start in the middle. Floodman is one of just four true freshmen to play last season. His speed and ball sense make him one of the more dangerous defensive backs on the squad.

Last year:
Floodman made 41 tackles last season, including four tackles for losses and two quarterback sacks, while seeing action in all 11 games. He replaced an injured Marcus Rogers in the starting lineup for the final two games of the season. His best games were versus Iowa State (13 tackles) Wyoming (12) and Texas (11).
