Greg Cole came to Kansas by way of Hutchinson Community College, where he was rated as the No. 1 outside linebacker in Kansas junior college football by MoKan Football. He helped lead Hutchinson to a record 14-6 record in his two years there, including a win in the 1999 Valley of the Sun Bowl. During 2002 spring drills, Cole switched positions for the fifth time in as many years, moving to inside linebacker. Cole claims he doesn't care where he plays. "It was a little bit of change," said Cole, "but I'll do whatever I have to do to help my team win."

Last Year:
As a Jayahwk in 2001, Cole appeared in all 11 games, starting the final two. He recorded 39 total tackles -- 12 of which were against Missouri. He notched six more each against Kansas State, Nebraska and Texas.
