Full bio: Selected by the Jets in the fourth round (132nd overall) of the 2004 NFL Draft ... Selection No. 132 was the first compensatory selection the NYJ were ever awarded.

College: Played one season at tackle for Kansas after beginning his career as a tight end for the Jayhawks...Caught 14 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown at tight end as a junior...Rotated in and out of the tight end position as a sophomore and caught seven passes for 68 yards...Recovered after suffering a serious head injury in 1999 when his car blew a tire and rolled, causing him to spend three days in intensive care at Wichita's Wesley Medical Center...Economics major, earned Jayhawk scholar honors.

2003 Season: Appeared in all 13 games at tackle for Kansas.

2002 season: Appeared in all 12 games, making five starts at the TE position and finishing with 14 receptions for 140 yards and one TD...Posted six multiple-catch games...Caught a career-high three passes for 28 yards and a TD at Tulsa...Recorded a season-long 18 yard reception at UNLV.

2001 season: Saw action in 10 games recording seven receptions for 68 yards and one TD...Accounted for Kansas' only TD on a four-yard pass from QB Zach Dyer vs. Nebraska and also recorded a then career single-game best 24-yard catch.

2000 season: Served as the third TE and finished the season with one reception in seven games.

1999 season:Redshirted as a freshman.

High School: Earned first-team All-District honors his senior season at Carter (Dallas, TX) High School...Named to the Texas top 100 player list as a senior...Lettered two years in football.

Off the Field: Majored in Economics...Made a full recovery after suffering a serious head injury in 1999 on Thanksgiving weekend when his car blew a tire and rolled. Spent three days in intensive care at Wichita's Medical Center.
