Bowled over: Rivers riddles Kansas in Tangerine rout
Bill Snead, Journal-World senior editor, has been given exclusive access to the Kansas University football team during their trip to Orlando, Fla., for the Mazda Tangerine Bowl. State's Philip Rivers said he wouldn't have wanted it to end any other way. The senior quarterback left the field Monday at the Tangerine Bowl beaming, with a winner's smile. He also left it in the fourth quarter with senior wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery while State fans at Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium thundered their affection for two players who have meant so much to the school and the football program the past four years.
