A very hard worker on the defensive end of the floor... A deceptively good leaper... Shoots well from the free throw line... Showed flashes of brilliance as a sophomore and will look to become more consistent as a junior.

Named All- Huron League all four years at Sumner... Once scored 42 points to go with seven rebounds, nine steals and five assists in a game in which he hit a last-second three-pointer to send it to overtime, then Sumner won the game... A National Merit semifinalist... An honor roll student all four years... In addition to lettering four years in basketball, Hawkins lettered one year each in track and cross country.

Off the court
Aspires to work in the business field upon graduation... A great student in high school, Hawkins earned an academic scholarship for his freshman season...
