Gary Bedore's thoughts: Mike Lee Ñ I wish everybody would just call him Mike Ñ had a heckuva sophomore season. He came from nowhere to hit 21 big threes and average 4.9 points while coming off the bench.

Lee's a good defensive player. He still doesn't dribble with the best, but is working on it. Another guy who will do anything for the team. He's already exceeded expectations. Remember, he came to KU with a reputation as a great football tight end; a decent hoopster.

Competition from KU's newcomers only figures to inspire Lee more. I'd suspect he'll find his way onto the court a lot again this season.
