Gary Bedore's thoughts: Moody is a brilliant student who did not receive any major college offers, hence his walk-on status here. No telling if he can get to the point he can play some minutes in his career besides mop-up minutes. He does seem comfortable at practice.

He's not afraid to shoot, even if the shot gets blocked. Looks like an excellent walk-on for four years to come.

Highlights: Invited walk-on averaged 13.1 ppg and 9.3 rpg last year at Roberson High, which happens to be Roy Williams' alma mater ... led team to 27-5 record ... hit 58 percent of shots as senior ... scored 1,390 on SAT and has 4.65 GPA . .. studying to be medical doctor.
