This Game: No. 3 Kansas (20-1, 10-0) takes a six-game winning streak to Texas Tech (15-6, 7-3) for an ESPN Big Monday contest on Feb. 14. Tip from United Spirit Arena is set for 8 p.m. The Jayhawks won their 20th game of the season with an 89-60 victory against Colorado on Saturday. Texas Tech had its four-game winning streak snapped at Iowa State Saturday, falling to the Cyclones 81-68.
About Kansas: No. 3 Kansas has won 20 games for the past 16 seasons dating back to the 1989-90 season. Through Saturday, KU is one of 14 teams in NCAA Division I to have won 20 games. KU's 20-1 record is the best since the 1996-97 team went 22-1. The Jayhawks are 10-0 in league play for the first time since the 2002 team went undefeated en route to the Big 12 title. Entering Sunday KU is one of seven teams that remain undefeated in their respective league race. Named to the Midseason Wooden Award watch list, senior Wayne Simien leads KU in scoring at 18.7 points per game, including 20.1 ppg in Big 12 play. The Preseason Big 12 Player of the Year recorded his third straight and 10th double-double of the season with 25 points and 12 rebounds against Colorado on Saturday. Simien has averaged 22.2 points and 10 rebounds in his last six games. Also named to the Midseason Wooden Award watch list is senior Keith Langford who is averaging 15.1 ppg overall and 16 in Big 12 play. Langford has averaged 21.7 points in his last three games and is shooting 58.1 percent (25-for-43) in that span. Sophomore J.R. Giddens is next in scoring at 10.9 ppg and has scored in double figures in six of his last seven outings. Giddens is averaging 2.7 three-point field goals per game in his last seven contests. He has made multiple three-pointers in eight of his last 10 games. Senior Aaron Miles has crushed every KU and Big 12 assists record and is averaging a league-best 7.3 assists per game. He is the nation's active leading career assists leader at 892, which is 14th all-time. Miles is coming off his highest league scoring game with 17 points against Colorado, and is averaging 8.9 ppg on the season. Junior Christian Moody is another starter who is averaging 6.1 ppg and is second on the team with 4.9 rpg. Moody has pulled down six or more rebounds nine times this season, which includes seven boards against Colorado on Saturday. He also had nine points against the Buffs.
Kansas Head Coach Bill Self : Kansas coach Bill Self recorded his 250th career win at Kansas State last Wednesday. His win against Colorado marked Self's seventh straight 20-win season as a head coach and his eighth overall. He is 44-10 in his second season at KU and 251-115 in his 12th season overall. Last year, KU posted a 24-9 record and finished tied for second in the Big 12 race at 12-4. KU advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year, falling to Georgia Tech in overtime, 79-71. Self's 24 victories tied Dick Harp for the most wins by a KU coach in his debut season at Kansas. Prior to KU, Self led Illinois to two Big Ten titles and three straight NCAA Tournament appearances. Before Illinois, he guided Tulsa to two WAC championships in 1999 and 2000 and was The Sporting News National Coach of the Year in 2000. A four-time Naismith Coach of the Year Award finalist, Self began his coaching career at KU in 1985-86 and was an assistant at his alma mater — Oklahoma State — from 1986 until 1993. His first head coaching stint was at Oral Roberts where he guided the Golden Eagles to the NIT in 1996-97, their first postseason appearance since 1983-84. Self is 2-3 against Texas Tech, which includes a 1-0 mark while at KU.
Last Game — at No. 3 Kansas 89, Colorado 60: No. 3 Kansas shot 57 percent from the field in the second half to pull away from the Colorado Buffaloes, 89-60, Saturday at Allen Fieldhouse. Senior Wayne Simien notched his 10th double-double of the season with a game-high 25 points and 12 rebounds. Simien was 11-of-11 from the free throw line. KU led 18-7 early in the first half, but took a 40-33 lead into the locker room after Colorado ended the half with a last-second basket by sophomore guard Marcus Hall. The Jayhawks came out firing and outscored the Buffs, 49-27 in the second half. With the win the Jayhawks improved to 20-1 overall and remain unbeaten in Big 12 play with a 10-0 record. KU held Colorado to 35 percent from the field. KU shot 79 percent from the free throw line, while Colorado managed just 46 percent from the charity stripe. Senior Aaron Miles added 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting and dished out a game-high nine assists, while sophomore J.R. Giddens netted 11 points. Senior Keith Langford lit it up in the second half for 12 points to give him 14 for the game. Junior Christian Moody scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds, including six offensive boards in the win. The Jayhawks did not allow the Buffaloes a field goal in the final 6:33 of the game, while Kansas outscored Colorado 19-7 on second chance points. Colorado was led by freshman Richard Roby who scored 14, while Hall added 10 in the loss.
KU-Colorado Leftovers: Senior Wayne Simien's 11 first half free throws were the most in a half by a Jayhawk since Simien himself made 11 free throws in the second half against UAB on March 26, 2004... Simien's perfect game from the line (11-for-11) marked the most free throws made without a miss in a single game since Rex Walters went 11-for-11 against Oklahoma on March 14, 1992. It also marked the most free throws in a conference game without a miss since the 1988-89 season... With his 25 points tonight, Simien passed Adonis Jordan and Richard Scott on KU's all-time scoring list with 1,383 points. He now sits in 20th position with 1,383 points... Simien has scored 20-plus points in two-straight games and four out of his last five. It marked his ninth 20 point game of the season and the 26th of his career... Simien (25 points, 12 rebounds) recorded his 10th double-double of the season and the 32nd of his career.. Senior Aaron Miles (17 points) passed Charlie Black for 35th on KU's all-time scoring list with 1,091 points... With his nine assists, Miles passed Frank Smith of Old Dominion and Jim Les of Bradley on the NCAA all-time career assists list. He now sits in 14th place at 892. He is one shy of Chico Fletcher of Arkansas State and two shy of Andre LaFleur of Northeastern... Miles shot 75 percent from the floor (6-for-8), which tied an individual season-high for field goal percentage in a game. He accomplished this feat twice earlier this season against Texas A&M and Pacific... Junior Christian Moody's six offensive boards tied a season-high for KU. Simien had six offensive rebounds agianst South Carolina... After missing six games, freshman C.J. Giles saw his first action since Jan. 19 against Nebraska... Senior Keith Langford has played and scored in all 129 games since his arrival at KU... KU has hit at least one three-pointer in 167 straight games... The Jayhawks have held their opponents under 100 points for 105 straight games... Prior to the game, freshman Jamie Weaver of Manhattan, Kan. won a free year's rent at Jefferson Commons for hitting a half-court shot.
About Texas Tech: Texas Tech has won four of its last five games and seven of its last nine. Both losses were on the road at Texas (80-73) on Jan. 25 and at Iowa State (81-68) on Saturday. Tech is 10-3 in since January 1. The Red Raiders are 11-1 at home this season with the lone loss to current No. 10 Oklahoma State (76-66) on Jan. 8. Tech is averaging a Big 12-leading 82.4 points and giving up 68.7 points per game. Senior guard Ronald Ross paces the Red Raiders with a 17.1 scoring average. Ross leads the team with 30 three-point field goals made and in steals with 54. He is also second on the team with 4.8 rebounds per contest. Sophomore Jarrius Jackson is next in scoring at 15.2 ppg. Jackson leads the team in assists with 77. Freshman Martin Zeno is next in scoring at 12.9 ppg. He leads the team with 89 free throws shot this season. Senior Devonne Giles rounds out the double-figure scorers for Tech at 12.4 ppg. Giles leads the team with a 6.5 rebound average and in blocked shots with 38.
Texas Tech Head Coach Bob Knight: The NCAA Division I active wins leader with 847 victories, Bob Knight is in his fourth season at Texas Tech where he has amassed an 83-39 record. Knight is 847-328 overall in his 38th season as he is only the fourth coach in NCAA Division I history to win 800 career games. Knight has guided Texas Tech to three straight postseason tourneys — two NCAAs, one NIT. A three-time national coach of the year honoree while at Indiana (1975, 1976 and 1989), Knight is the last coach to post an undefeated season while guiding the Hoosiers to a 32-0 record in 1975-76.
The Series: Kansas leads the all-time series with Texas Tech 15-1... Last meeting saw the No. 20 Jayhawks defeat the Red Raiders, 96-77, in Lawrence, Kan., on Feb. 7, 2004... • Texas Tech Associate Head Coach Pat Knight was 1-4 versus the Jayhawks as a player. He was a member of four Indiana Hoosier teams that played KU five times between 1991-94. Knight averaged 5.6 minutes of action in the five contests.

The Last Meeting: No. 20 Kansas defeated No. 19 Texas Tech, 96-77, Feb. 7 in Allen Fieldhouse. The win improved the Jayhawks' record to 15-4 overall and 7-1 in the Big 12, while the Red Raiders fell to 17-5 overall and 5-3 in the Big 12. The win also gave the Jayhawks a 23-game win streak in Big 12 home games. KU junior forward Wayne Simien led KU with 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field to go with a career-high 17 rebounds. Freshman guard J.R. Giddens chipped in with a career-high tying 18 points, while freshman center David Padgett added 16 points and five rebounds. Simien scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead KU in the first stanza. The Jayhawks were a sizzling 5-of-7 from three-point range and shot 54.5 percent from the field for the half. The Crimson and Blue defense held the Red Raiders to 40.6 percent shooting and led at the half, 44-36. The Jayhawk defense held Texas Tech to 38.3 percent shooting for the game and held the Red Raiders scoreless for nine minutes of the second half. KU scored a season-high 52 points in the second half and totaled a season-high 96 points for the game. TTU's Andre Emmett led all scorers with 29 points on 8-of-20 shooting to go with eight rebounds. Texas Tech made a KU opponent season-high 26 free throws, and its 31 attempts tied an opponent season-high.

KU Dominant in Big 12 Play: Since the inception of the Big 12 Conference in 1996-97, Kansas has been the dominating force in the league. KU is the only league team to have won more than 100 games in regular season play. The Jayhawks are 116-22, which is 21 more wins than the next team on that list, Oklahoma (94-44). In addition, the Jayhawks have won four of the eight regular-season Big 12 titles and the first three Big 12 Tournament crowns.
The Roller Coaster is Heading Upward Again: How can a No. 3 team in the nation that is 20-1 have a roller coaster-type season? Look at the scoreboard. Kansas won its first six games by an average of 25 points per victory. In its next seven wins, KU won by an average of 6.9 points. The car is moving upward again as Kansas' last six wins have been by an average of 18 points.
Bucking the Trend: Last season, Kansas was 0-8 when trailing with 5:00 remaining. This season, Kansas has actually been down six times in the final five minutes and has won five of those games. The five wins include Vermont (up 58-56 with 5:00 remaining), Georgia Tech (up 57-51 with 5:00 left), South Carolina (up 58-57 with 2:14 remaining), Texas A&M (held a 52-51 lead with 4:04 to play) and Kentucky (up 54-53 at the 3:35 mark).

Langford and Simien on Midseason Wooden Award: In early February, a national poll was conducted by the John R. Wooden Award Midseason Committee to determine the Top 30 Midseason Candidates for the 2004-2005 Wooden Award Player of the Year and All-America Team. Kansas seniors Keith Langford and Wayne Simien were among those listed. The 30 candidates have been selected based on individual performance and team records thus far this season. On Tuesday, March 29, the 10-player Wooden Award All-America Team will be announced. One member of the Wooden Award All-America Team will be selected on Saturday, April 9, to receive the Wooden Award Trophy as the nation's Most Outstanding Collegiate Basketball Player of the Year.
Simien Still Rolling: Senior Wayne Simien continues to roll for Kansas. In his last six games, the Leavenworth, Kan., forward is averaging 22.2 points and 10 rebounds per game. He also is shooting 55.2 percent from the field and has nine steals and five blocked shots in his last six outings. Against Colorado, he recorded his second straight and ninth 20-point effort of the season with 25 points. Additionally, he had 12 rebounds for his third straight and 10th double-double of the season. His 10 DDs are tied for first in the league with Oklahoma's Taj Gray. Simien is the only player in the Big 12 to average a double-double as his 18.7 ppg and 10.9 rpg ranked first in the league. Simien has led KU in scoring in seven of the last nine games. He has shot 50 percent or better in 15 of his 17 games this season. Three times this season Simien has recorded a double-double in each of the first halves. Against Vermont, he had 10 points and 11 rebounds in the first 20 minutes. His 25 points and 14 rebounds for the game earned Simien Big 12 Player of the Week honors. Against Saint Joseph's, Simien had 14 points and 11 rebounds in the opening half. At Colorado, he had 11 points and 10 rebounds in the first 20 minutes. Simien has 29 career double-doubles, which is fifth on the KU career chart and ninth on the Big 12 all-time list.
Aaron Miles Having Solid Season: Senior Aaron Miles is having a solid season. His 17 points against Colorado Saturday were the second highest output of the season for Miles and the most in conference play. He scored 19 against Pacific on Dec. 4, 2004. As for the past three seasons, Miles leads the team in assists, currently with 154 for a Big 12-leading 7.3 per game. The Portland, Ore., guard is second on the team with 26 three-point field goals made and he is making 54.2 from beyond the arc. Averaging 8.9 ppg, Miles has one double-double on the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds against Missouri and has nine double-figure scoring games in 2004-05. He also leads the team in steals with 36 on the year.
Miles Climbing Career Charts: Every time senior Aaron Miles garners an assist, he adds to his conference and school career record, which is currently at 892. He is the nation's active career leader in NCAA Division I. In three straight games this season, the Portland, Ore., guard set three career assist records. Against Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Dec. 22, Miles became the Big 12 career assists leader, surpassing Oklahoma State's Doug Gottlieb (793). The following game against Georgia Tech, he became the school's all-time assists leader, passing Jacque Vaughn's (1994-97) 804. In the win against Texas A&M, Miles dished five assists to become the league's all-time conference games only assists leader, currently at 423, passing Gottlieb who was at 354. Miles has had seven or more assists in 14 of 21 games this season. He has twice recorded a season-high 10 assists against Nevada and Missouri and he leads the Big 12 with 7.3 assists per game. He needs 108 assists to become the fourth player in NCAA Division I history to amass 1,000 for his career and his 883 assists currently ranks tied for 14th all-time.
Other Aaron Miles(tones):
• In January, Miles was named one of 18 finalists for the Bob Cousy Award honoring the nation's top point guard.
• Against Missouri on Jan. 31, Miles registered his KU record 19th career game with 10 or more assists.
• Against Texas A&M, Miles became the 48th player in Kansas history to score 1,000 points. His two game-sealing free throws with 1.6 seconds remaining in the 65-60 win against the Aggies gave Miles his 1,000th and 1,001st points. Miles is 35th on the KU all-time scoring list with 1,091 points.
• Miles is tied for second in KU career steals — currently at 250. He is tied with former KU great and current Director of Basketball Operations Danny Manning's 250.
• Miles has 128 starts, which is sixth on Kansas' all-time career list.
• Miles is fifth in all-time KU minutes played at 3,962.
Langford the Go-To Guy: Senior Keith Langford has come on strong as of late. In his last six games, the Fort Worth, Texas, native is averaging 18.3 points. He currently is second on the team in scoring at 15.1 ppg — 13th in the Big 12. His 16 ppg in league games ranks 11th in the Big 12. Langford has led KU in scoring in two of the last three games with 24 at Kansas State and a career-high tying 27 at Nebraska on Feb. 5. Langford was the go-to guy against Georgia Tech as he scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half and overtime, posted 10 points in the final 2:46 of regulation and overtime and drained the game-winner with 3.3 seconds remaining in OT. For his efforts, Langford was named the ESPN.com National Player of the Week and the co-Big 12 Player of the Week with Texas' P.J. Tucker. Langford has five games with 20 or more points. A preseason Wooden and Naismith awards watch lists selection, Langford had 21 points versus Pacific with a career-high seven assists.
Langford Joins KU Elite: Last Wednesday, Kansas State, Langford became only the ninth player in Kansas men's basketball history to score 1,700 career points. His 1,726 points are ninth both the KU and Big 12 career lists. Additionally, Langford has played and scored in all 129 of his games played at Kansas.
Giddens Getting It Done: Sophomore J.R. Giddens is coming on as of late. In the past four games, the Oklahoma City sophomore is averaging 12.8 points, four rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game. Additionally he has shot 52.8 percent (19-for-36) from the field in that span. Giddens has made multiple three-point field goals in eight of his last 10 games. In his last seven games, Giddens is 19-for-43 (44.2 percent) from way out. At Kansas State last Wednesday he scored a season-high 18 points and was 4-for-6 from three-point range. At Nebraska he registered four assists, a career-high three blocked shots, two steals and scored seven points. Against Texas Giddens had a career-high five assists. Giddens has made three or more three-pointers in two straight and three of his last four games. He has turned the trick 13 games this season, including four against Kansas State, Baylor, Georgia Tech and Louisiana-Lafayette. Last year, he posted three or more treys 14 times. Giddens leads KU with 49 three-pointers made this season. In only his second season at KU, he ranks 11th on the all-time three-point field goals made list at 123 and is 11th on the three-point field goals attempted list at 311.
Moody Making Mark: Named the "greatest walk-on in the history of college basketball" by CBS' Billy Packer in KU's win at Kentucky, junior Christian Moody has started 18 games this season. At Kentucky, the walk-on from Asheville, N.C., scored a career-high 11 points and was named Kansas' Chevrolet Player of the Game by CBS. Against Colorado, Moody recorded nine points and seven rebounds, including six offensive. Moody is shooting 57.3 percent from the field on the season and has pulled down a career-high 10 rebounds twice, including against then-No. 9 Georgia Tech. Against TCU, he produced his first double-double with 10 points and a career-high 10 rebounds. His second assist of the game was a blind kick out to a J.R. Giddens' three-pointer that ended up on ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 plays list. Moody has pulled down six or more rebounds in three of his last four games and nine times this season. He is averaging 21.2 minutes, 6.1 points and is second on the team with 4.9 rebounds per game. Last year, he averaged seven minutes, 1.4 points and one rebound in 25 games for KU.
KU Player Quick Hits:
• Senior Michael Lee has made at least one three-pointer in six of his last eight games and is averaging 16.8 minutes in league play. One of the first off the bench, Lee is 6-for-16 from way out in his last six games. Against Colorado Saturday he dished off a season-high three assists and was 2-for-5 from the field with five points. At Nebraska on Feb. 5 he scored eight points, the most since a 10-point effort against Texas A&M on Jan. 5.
• Freshman Sasha Kaun's minutes have picked up as of late. The center is coming off a season-high 26 minutes at Kansas State last Wednesday and he has averaged 14.4 minutes in his last eight games. Kaun is 15-for-27 (.556) from the field in that span. Kaun pulled down five rebounds and scored a season-high 11 points at Villanova. Against Nebraska on Jan. 19, Kaun pulled down four rebounds. He has nine blocked shots in his last seven outings. He has registered four or more rebounds five times this season and his 13 blocked shots are tied for second most on the team.
• Junior Jeff Hawkins has averaged 9.4 minutes in his last seven games and his eight against Colorado on Saturday were the most in his last three contests. Hawkins was 5-for-5 from three-point range at Baylor on Jan. 25 in scoring a season-high 15 points. He entered the game 3-for-7 from way out for the year. The last time a Jayhawk made five-straight three-pointers in a single game was Jan. 26, 1994, when Sean Pearson knocked down five-straight against Oklahoma State.
• Freshman Alex Galindo started the first game of his career at Colorado and at Kentucky, yet has missed the last four games due to injury. He had five points and four blocked shots. Against Georgia Tech, Galindo was 1-for-7 when he drained a three-pointer to cut Tech's lead to 65-64 in overtime. Against Texas A&M, he broke a 58-58 tie with a three-pointer with 40 seconds remaining. Against Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Georgia Tech, he set career-highs with seven rebounds.
• Freshman Russell Robinson has played key minutes in a back-up role at the guard spot. Mainly used at the point, Robinson has played 12 or more minutes in 10 games this season. He logged seven minutes with one assist and one steal against Colorado on Saturday. Robinson was a clutch performer against South Carolina as he made his lone field goal and two free throws in the final 38 seconds in the 64-60 win. He earned ESPN.com Freshman of the Week honors for his efforts against USC. Robinson is averaging 5.1 points on the season.
• After missing six straight games due to injury, freshman C.J. Giles played six minutes with three rebounds against Colorado on Saturday. Giles has four starts this season. Included was a 10-point performance at Kentucky and two six-rebound efforts against the Wildcats and at Iowa State.
• Freshman Darnell Jackson started the first game of his career against Wisconsin-Milwaukee Dec. 22. His eight minutes against Colorado on Saturday were the most since he played 12 against Villanova on Jan. 22.
Kansas Notables:
• Kansas is 29-4 (87.9 percent) in its last 33 games.
• Since the 2001-02 season, Kansas is 21-13 against ranked opponents, including 3-0 in 2004-05. KU is 5-5 overall against ranked foes under second year head coach Bill Self.
• KU has held 20 of 21 opponents to under 50 percent shooting this season. Additionally, the Jayhawks have outshot 17 foes in 2004-05.
• The Jayhawks have outrebounded 14 of 21 opponents this season.
• Kansas has registered 10 or more steals in six of 20 games this season. Last year, KU had seven games with 10-plus steals.

• Kansas is 148-7 (95.5 percent) in Allen Fieldhouse over the past 11 seasons. Included in that run are five undefeated seasons — 14-0 in 1994-95; 13-0 in 1995-96; 15-0 in 1996-97; 16-0 in 1997-98; and 13-0 in 2001-02.
• At Villanova, Kansas wore red uniforms for the second time this season. The Jayhawks are 4-1 when wearing red uniforms under head coach Bill Self.
Records, Milestones, Streaks to Watch:
• The Jayhawks have held their opponents under 100 points for 105 straight games. The last team to score 100 points on KU was Texas on Feb. 11, 2002.
• KU has hit at least one three-pointer in 167 straight games. Kansas last failed to hit a long ball in a loss to Texas on Feb. 28, 2000.
• Wayne Simien ranks 11th on the KU career rebounds list at 782.
• Keith Langford has played and scored in all of his 129 games while at Kansas.
Streak Stuff:
• Each KU senior class since 1986-87 has won at least 100 games, including the 2004-05 class which is currently at 107.
• Including 2004-05, Kansas has won 10 or more games in Allen Fieldhouse for the past 22 seasons, dating back to 1982-83. The Jayhawks have won 10-plus games in Allen Fieldhouse in 37 of the 49 full seasons in the facility.
• Kansas boasts a 21-game win streak on Senior Day. The last time KU lost its last home game of the season was a 60-58 defeat to Nebraska in 1983.
• KU, which is 20-1 this season, has won at least 20 games for 16 straight years.
• The Jayhawks have made 15 straight appearances in the NCAA Tournament. The last time KU failed to participate in the Big Dance was in 1989 (probation).
• Kansas has had success in the early stages of the NCAA Tournament, having won 21 straight first-round games. UCLA is the last team to knock off the Jayhawks in the first round in 1978.
• Kansas has been to two NCAA Final Fours, three Elite Eights and won two Big 12 regular-season championships in the last three seasons.
• Including 2005, KU has won 14 straight conference-openers. The Jayhawks' last loss in a league-opener was to Oklahoma on Jan. 8, 1991.
In the Rankings: Kansas has been ranked in the top 10 all season in the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today Coaches' polls. The Jayhawks entered the season No. 1 in both outlets, marking the first time since 1956-57 (AP) and 1996-97 (coaches poll) that KU had entered a season as the top team in the country. Under Bill Self, KU concluded the 2003-04 season No. 9 in the coaches' poll (No. 16 by AP whose poll concludes prior to the NCAA Tournament).
14-0 Start Fifth Best in KU History: Though it ended, Kansas' 14-0 start ranked as the fifth best in school history. The 2004-05 squad is one of only 11 teams in KU history to have a 10-0 or better record to start the season.
Case/Kleinmann to Redshirt the 2004-05 Season: On Dec. 3, it was announced that Jeremy Case would redshirt the 2004-05 season after he saw limited practice during the fall due to an injury. As a freshman, Case played 21 games and averaged 3.9 minutes and 1.2 points per game. He scored eight points in the win against Fort Hays State and five points in a KU victory versus Oklahoma. Case joins freshman walk-on Matt Kleinmann as a redshirt for the 2004-05 season.
Did You Know?: Pacific entered the national polls with an 18-2 record last week. Kansas has handed the Tigers two of their last three losses. KU defeated Pacific 81-70 on Dec. 4 and ended the Tigers' season last year with a 78-63 win in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Up Next: The Jayhawks then return home to face Iowa State on Saturday, Feb. 19. Tip from Allen Fieldhouse is noon and the game will air on ABC Television. KU will then travel to Norman, Okla., for an ESPN Big Monday matchup with Oklahoma. Tip from the Lloyd Noble Center is set for 8 p.m.
Stewart Transfers to Kansas: Head coach Bill Self announced Jan. 11 that wing/guard Rodrick Stewart is enrolled at the University of Kansas and has started to practice with the team. The 6-4 Stewart (Seattle, Wash.) will not be eligible to play for the Jayhawks until January 2006, in accordance with NCAA transfer rules. He played last season as a freshman at Southern California with his twin brother, Lodrick, but did not play last semester because of academic reasons.
