* Bud Stallworth, (1970-1972). (Bedore and Mayer, bench). Bud Stallworth, who was No. 12 on KU's all-time scoring chart with 1,495 points, was a consensus All-American in 1972 and a 1971 Academic All-American. He was All-Big Eight in 1971 and 1972 and the winner of the 1972 Kansas MVP Award.
His most-remembered performance was the 50 points he scored against Missouri in 1972, which still stands as a KU record for points scored in a conference game. He played for five seasons in the NBA with Seattle and New Orleans.
